Google won''t let users under the age of 18 use Google+ Field Trial

An hour ago, I got my chance to register on Google+. I was really glad that I could finally register. I typed in all the information needed clicked on register and... this came up:

This feature is not available for your account. You must be over a certain age to use this feature.

I've done some research and this is what I've found: a comment by Google employee Melissa (found here):

"Eek, Jason!

We won’t be letting users under 18 years of age into the Field Trial until we’re confident that we have the right teen safety features in place. But that doesn't mean you won't get to use Google+ at all... it just means you'll have to wait a little bit... I'm sorry!! And for all of you wondering we currently have no plans to open the product to users who indicate being under age 13.

-M"

This means I won't be able to send out any invitations, since I'm under 18. Sorry, I'm really mad as well. :(
