Right now it's not that easy because right now Google is "testing with a small number of people". I just bought an invitation on eBay for £1 here. The seller asked me to send them my e-mail address and added my e-mail address to a circle and shared a message with the circle so the message was sent to my e-mail address. Here is what it looked like (I removed the links, names and e-mails):

You can also get free invitations from blogs and other sites, but it's more complicated, and because there are so many people wanting invitations they can't give everybody one. You can Google free Google Plus Invitations. I will also give out some free invitations as well once I created my account, so be sure to follow my blog and leave a comment with your e-mail address. I will try to give everybody one, starting with the first person. I couldn't create my account yet because Google has "temporarily exceeded their capacity" and no-one can register. I don't know when I will be able to register, but I am really looking forward to it.
